Summer Midsayap Sky

After facilitating a planning workshop of the Camp Coordination and Camp Management Cluster for the Province of North Cotabato, my staff (part of the IDP Liaison Team) decided to have a quick meeting. While waiting for the team for finish their meeting, I went outside the conference room and decided to play around with the picture style feature of my camera. I gave the monochrome feature a try. Going through the menus I discovered that my camera provides color filter effects to the black and white shots. It would be like shooting (if one were shooting with film) with black and white film and attaching a colored filter over your lens. Having set my camera to shoot monochrome, I then selected the yellow filter.  I chose the yellow filter knowing (I have read this somewhere but have never tried it using real black and white film) that a yellow filter will render the blue portion of the sky really black, thus coming up with really dramatic sky shots.

Here are some of the shots I have taken that afternoon in the Municipality of Midsayap, Province of North Cotabato.
